Who reads guide books when they travel? Or does some online research on the destinations they are about to visit? Well with that in mind I decided to create some new mini-guides, with a few bits of information but also allowing the reader to discover places for themselves. Travel is all about discovery and sometimes guide books take that fun element away from the experience.
The destination chosen for this article is a small village in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, just outside London. Don’t be fooled by the fact that it is a small village, Great Missenden is home to Roald Dahl, where you will find a museum dedicated to his work and life, and some of the most beautiful countryside this area can offer.
So if you are heading to London, then, make sure to hop on the train and visit this little gem. You won’t regret it.
